Bengal Beat: February 2024 - Part 1

Basketball - Girls MS
Epic cheers to the Bengals, who closed out the regular season with a stellar 10-1 record and headed into the postseason as the #1 seed in the Potomac Valley Athletic Conference. In the conference quarter-finals, they faced Washington Waldorf at home on February 6, winning 34-12 and moving on to the semifinals.
Swim Team - HS
In early February, Asa D. '25, Jack J. '26, Jasper S. '27, Luc P. L. '24, Max F. C. '25, and Will K. '27 represented Burke at the WMPSSDL Championship, a two-day event, involving more than 30 area schools. At the University of Maryland, Bengals competed in the 50 Y and 100 Y Free and the 100 Y Fly, where Max placed in the top 50 (1:06.41).

Senior Nights
At the end of January, the Girls and Boys Varsity basketball teams honored their graduating seniors: Amanuel A. '24, Bailee C. '24 (playing for the Bengals since 7th grade!), Daria S. '24, and Egan J. '24. Your leadership and spirit on and off the court will be missed.
