Skies were finally clear on Monday, May 12, and the Bengals closed out their seasons in fine fashion at the PVAC Championships at Gallaudet University. Men's Varsity earned a 2nd place finish as a team (just 8 points out of 1st), and Women's Varsity took 5th overall. -

'25, Feli M. F. '30, Lailah B. '25, Matilda P. '26, Miriam K. G. '25, and Yanet G. '28. have all stolen bases this season. Alara R. '28, Aspen C. '27, Brooklyn, Charlie, Emily, Lailah, Matilda, and Miriam have all had solid contact with the ball and driven in runs. An impressive array of talent was on display at the pre-Blackout Pep Rally, which opened with varsity basketball player and stand-out instrumentalist Hilliard N. '26, performing the national anthem on violin. Next, the Dance Team (captained by Camilla T. '25 and Nora S. Track & FieldRead MoreAt the Centurion Classic in Virginia on April 20, David G. '25 took 1st in the 200 meters paired with 3rd place in the 100 meters and 3rd in the long jump. In the middle distances, Eoin S. '24 notched 2nd in the 800 meters. In the girls' sprints, Elsa H. '27 took 3rd in the 100 and 200. Elsa, Ashley J. '26, Sydney J. '26, and Eliza G. '25 also took the top spot in the 4x100 relay.At the MS meet, Mason F. '28 won the boys' long jump and 100 meters, followed by a 1-2 Bengal finish in the 200 for Mason and Gabriel D. '28. Henry S. '30 and Markon G. '30 with Mason and Gabriel then took 1st the 4x100 relay. Morgan L. C. '30 was top Bengal in the girls' 100 and 200 meters, while Meadow J. '30 recorded Burke's best finish in the field events. 8th grade team of Arsema T. '28, Amy T. '28, Marli N. '28, and Yanet G. '28 took 2nd in the 4x100. -

Read MoreHS Track & FieldCoach Kamilah shared the following photos and news from Quince Orchard Cougar Relays on Saturday, April 6:- In the 4x200 relay, the boys won their heat (with a great third leg from William T. '25) and took 12th in the final, complemented by 6th in the 4x400.
- Hana Y. '25 set a Personal Record in the girls' long jump with a jump of 13' 7.5," placing 8th in the finals.
- Nathan K. '24 also set a PR in the boys' triple jump, taking 8th both there and in the long jump.
