Bengal Beat: Fall Post-Season - High School

Volleyball (JV and Varsity)
Both squads had an excellent season, each making it to the PVAC Championship semifinals this past week. The JV team wrapped up the season strong against Model Secondary School, going 2-1 against the eventual PVAC champs. In the last regular season match, Varsity Bengals bested McLean's Mustangs (3-1), with stellar serving by Sienna M. '24, Lucy M. '24, and Lailah B. '25. Thanks to a high ranking, the team punched their ticket directly to the PVAC semifinals, where they concluded their season against Hebrew Academy (3-1). Shout-out to Sienna, Lucy, Niki P. '24, Erin R. '24, Marissa W. '24, and Mani Y. '24 on a superlative senior season!
Cross Country (HS)
At the fourth PVAC meet of the season, the Bengals edged out Field (52-64) to take the team Men's Varsity title. Owen F. '24 (4th), Charles L. '25 (6th), and Isaac W. '27 all finished in the top 10, with Jack J. '26 close in 15th. In the Women's Varsity, dynamic duo Elsa H. '27 and Eliza G. '25 finished 5th and 11th respectively. The team heads to PVAC Championships this evening, so expect an update in the next Beat.

Girls Soccer (Varsity)
The Bengals and Lions of Jewish Day School met in PVAC quarterfinals, where our team ended their season. In the words of Coach Brendan, this smaller squad "haven't let short numbers hold them back," and they played with strength and tenacity. Extra congratulations to seniors Bailee C. '24, Maite B. G. '24, and Clara E. Z. '24. Your leadership will be greatly missed.

Boys Soccer (Varsity)
In a nail-biting, hard-fought conclusion to a strong season, the Bengals just missed the PVAC Championships final game – edged out yesterday by Sandy Spring Friends in double overtime  in the semifinals. Shout-out to Amanuel A. '24, Declan C. '24, Owen G. '24, Egan J. '24, Nathan K. '24, Joshua P. '24, Jack S. '24, and Eoin S.
