Earlier this month, Advanced Art History with Maureen M. created archaeology reports on Stonehenge, including theories on how the original peoples created the structure. In small groups, students drew on physics, geology, and historical context – and even threw in some blocks to test their theories.

In Stacy S.'s Health, Values, and Ethics (HVE) course, 10th graders begin by studying the brain and its functions, including how drugs can affect those functions. For a hands-on understanding, students modeled their own neurons with dry erase markers and play dough – directly on their desks. 8th graders could even complete their most recent "brain quiz" in three dimensions.
