Bengals Win at Blackout

On Friday, February 10, the Girls Varsity Basketball team took on rival Field School, winning 39-33 in a closely-fought home game. Bailee C. '24, Daria S. '24, Fiona C. '25, Mae G. '24, Miriam K. G. '25, Noelle T. '25, and Zora T. '26 wrapped up a strong regular season, wrapping up with a 7-6 record – before heading to the post-season! On Tuesday, February 21, the team took on Spencerville in the quarter finals of the PVAC Championship Tournament.

Prior to Friday's game, the school gathered for a pep rally, highlighted by performances from the student-led Dance Team and Instrumental Music 9/10, plus cameos by not one, but two "Little Neds" (Abby K. '29 and Elana D. '29).* Liam B. '28 earned the singular opportunity to pie SGA Co-President Carrie J. '24, who then pie'd Co-President Riley D. '24.

(*) Little Ned, or Edmund, is Burke’s unofficial mascot and traditionally portrayed by a 6th grader in a period jacket and powdered wig.
