Season starts against tough opponent

First game jitters were apparent as the Burke boys took the field in the first half of the game. Once we got a little more focused in the second half, our defensive energy picked up and we created some good chances on goal. Sandy Spring has a talented team and they scored some goals that were simply hard to stop. But our back line did a great job of staying together, drawing six offsides penalties against the opponent. Both Antonio and Mateo earned a "game ball" for their hustle and work ethic from whistle to whistle.
