Grace Mann Assembly 2021

Each spring, Burke holds an assembly in memory of Grace Mann, who graduated in 2012 and tragically passed away three years later while attending the University of Mary Washington.
Because Grace was passionate about issues related to gender, sexuality, and social justice, we strive to invite a guest who can speak directly to those passions.

This year, we were honored to welcome Miriam W. Yeung, a longtime activist for Asian immigrant and Asian American women. Past Executive Director of the National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum, Miriam is committed to social justice and human rights for AAPI women and girls.
