Sandwiches on Sunday
Service Club completed its latest project on Sunday morning, April 26, hosting 10th-12th graders at Burke to make sandwiches for Interfaith Works. Based in Montgomery County, this human services non-profit reaches over 72,000 throughout the region. The Service Club is supporting their Women's Center at Taft, an emergency shelter in Rockville.
An Early Shabbatluck
Last week during lunch, the Jewish Affinity Group (JAG) led a Shabbat-style meal in the Library for both group members and any students or adults who wished to join! Suffice it to say, the Library was packed. Students shared the blessings for the candles, wine (grape juice, in this case), and challah, enjoyed savory and sweet items, and raised funds for the Capital Kosher Pantry
