Bengal Beat: April - Part 2

Golf Team
Coach Bobo reports back from the PVAC Mid-Season Challenge, where the Bengals took home 1st place by 10 strokes, besting McLean, St. Anselm's, Sandy Spring, and JDS. Jack L. '27 finished with the best score of 38 on the 9-hole course, followed closely by Zach S. '26 (41), 8th grade standout Andrew L. '30 (42), and Alex S. '26 (43). Continue to watch this space, as the Bengals golfers are now 5-0 this season.
 
MS Track & Field
On Monday, April 13, the middle school Bengals competed at the MACA MS Invitational, with the girls squad taking 4th and the boys taking 3rd (just three points out of 2nd!). Burke also won two relays and recorded these podium finishes:
  • Morgan L. C. '30 - 1st in the 100 meters, 3rd in the 200 meters
  • Henry S. '30 - 1st in the 400 meters and 800 meters, 2nd in the long jump
  • Ricky B. 32 - 2nd in the 800 meters
  • Layla A. '30 - 1st in the long jump
  • Stella B. '30 - 3rd in the long jump

HS Track & Field
The Bengals joined eight peer schools at the Landon Invitational on April 11 and recorded numerous podium finishes: 
  • Gideon R. '26 - 1st in 800 and 1600 meters
  • Carter A. '27 - 1st in the triple jump
  • Elsa H. '27 - 1st in 400 meters
  • Avery D. '27 - 2nd in the 800 meters
  • Ethan F. '26 - 3rd in the discus and the shot put
  • Frankie N. '27 - 3rd in the 1600 meters
