Coach Domotá reported back on the team's home game against Don Bosco on Wednesday, September 25, which the Bengals won 3-1. Co-captains Lailah B. '25 and Nora S. '25 provided strong leadership throughout.
Varsity Soccer
On Monday, September 23, the boys' and girls' team won their away matches at CESJDS, recording 8-1 and 2-0 victories respectively. Coach David reports goals by Hilliard N. '26, Jack G. '27, Mateo C. '27, Max G. '25, Sam H. '25 (x2), and freshmen Gabe D. '28 and Liam B. '28! Coach Branden writes, "Marli N. '28 scored both goals after speedy runs through the defense [and] Laila O. '25 earned a shutout in goal after stopping a breakaway in the first half and saving a ball off the line in the second half."
MS Cross Country
Bengals had a strong showing at the PVAC Midseason Challenge. The girls' squad finished 3rd as a team (not far behind WIS in 2nd), led by Neve J. '29 in 7th. Coach Dennis shouted out Eliza G. '31 and Emily R. '29 (making her cross country debut!), who finished 13th and 14th. In the boys' race, Arrow N. H. '29 had the top Bengal finish, running 14:38, followed by Branden P. '31.
HS Cross Country
At the Upper School Midseason Challenge, the girls recorded four top-25 finishes, led by Eliza G. '25 in 11th and Avery D. '27 in 12th, followed by Elsa H. '27 and Leyu F. '28. The boys finished in 3rd as a team, with Charles L. '25 leading the way in 13th, with Jack J. '26 and Gideon R. '26 (who is also playing soccer!) close behind.
