Reclaim & Reimagine
This fall, seven high school students (accompanied by Sharielle A.) were selected to represent Burke at the annual Baltimore Student Diversity Leadership Conference.
Anya M. '28, Frankie N. '27, EC R. '29, Jessica B. '29, and Nick K. '29 participated in workshops and Paige A. '27, and Payton A. '27 served as conference facilitators for the second year in a row! Led and planned by students from independent schools across the DMV and Delaware, And Still We Rise: Reclaiming Hope and Reimagining Futures focused on resilience, student voice, and a more inclusive future. Workshops ranged from civic literacy and media awareness to exploring inequality and authentic community engagement. Be sure to ask these students what they learned and will bring back to Burke.
