A Brilliant Blackout

First, a plot twist: UDC was closed on Friday, January 30, due to the snow side-effects! Burke's intrepid Athletic Department pivoted quickly and moved the games to the Gym. Given the much smaller seating area, we opened the Dance Studio for overflowing seating and the planned live-stream (effort led by Isaac S. '27) was projected into the Atrium.
And what we lacked in bleacher space, we more than made up in dynamism. After a tough first half, the girls' varsity team staged a great comeback, coming within one point of rival Field School, led by Amy T. '28 with 19 points. Next up, the boys' team took control from the jump and bested the Falcons by a significant (double digits) margin. In true Burke fashion, several students both played in the games and performed with the Dance Team between said games!
