Teachers at Burke enjoy a great deal of autonomy. They’re free to be creative and rigorous, and to explore imaginative ways of engaging students to join in a vibrant exchange of ideas, feelings and beliefs.
At Burke, teachers are approachable and generous with their time. Their freedom and self-assurance are energizing forces that bring brighter expressions to the faces of teachers and students alike.
Apart from class work, each teacher also guides clubs or extracurricular activities. Every Burke teacher also serves as advisor to six to eight students, helping them make individual course and extracurricular activity decisions, solve problems and stay on track toward goals.
Our teachers come to us highly qualified and continue their professional and personal development throughout their time here.
In addition to the faculty, the School supports students and their families with an experienced and qualified team consisting of a college counselor, school counselor, learning specialists, librarian, and administrative staff.
