Bengals Dribble to the Championship Game

Boys varsity basketball has hit their stride at the right time. On Thursday, February 12, they won the post-season play-in game against Model and moved to the Division AA Semifinals on Tuesday. There, the Bengals dominated against Washington Christian, pulling ahead by double digits before the final quarter and moving to the championship finals.
On Friday, February 20, Burke and longtime rival Field School took to the court at home. The Bengals had come out on top in their last match-up, making for a tense game, with one team and then another pulling ahead through the final quarter. In the end, the Bengals just missed the top spot – with the game going to Field 55-53 in the final seconds.

Fan packed the Bengal Dome to capacity, with students even providing a livestream to those watching from a distance. Head of School Steve dubbed the game an "instant classic." Director of Athletics Kevin dubbed this "one of the best games I have seen" in his 14 years with the program.

Congratulations to graduating seniors Cassius F. '26, Aaron F. '26, Leo G. '26, David M. '26, Hilliard N. '26, and Alex S. '26, as well as team manager Alma S. '26.
