Bengal Beat: Race to the Finish

HS Track & Field

Skies were finally clear on Monday, May 12, and the Bengals closed out their seasons in fine fashion at the PVAC Championships at Gallaudet University. Men's Varsity earned a 2nd place finish as a team (just 8 points out of 1st), and Women's Varsity took 5th overall.
William T. '25 is an individual PVAC champion again, this year in the 110m hurdles, with two more runner-up finishes! Burke dominated the relays, taking the top spot in the 4x100 (Arlo H. '25Mateo C. '27, Carter A. '27, Cole C. '28) and in the 4x400 (Jack J. '26, Gideon R. '26, Henry B. '28, Charles L. '25). Arlo, Ashley J. '26, Carter, Cole, David G. '25, Elsa H. '27, Ethan F. '26, Gabriel, Gideon, Hana Y. '25, Jack, Madison A. '25, Sophia H. '25, Sydney J. '26, and William all brought home one (or more!) top 3 finishes.

HS Track & Field

The Bengals had a strong showing at the Middle School PVAC Championships at Berman Hebrew Academy (after one rainy reschedule). Henry S. '30 took 3rd in the 400m, paired with 5th in the long jump. The 4x400 relay team of Theo R. '30, Arrow N. H. '29, Greyson N. '29, and Markon G. '30 and the 4x100 relay team of Layla A. '30Morgan L. C. '30Naomi R. '29, and Zari R. T. '30 both placed 3rd. Neve J. '29 wrapped up a standout middle school career with two top 5 finishes in the 800 and 1600. Layla and Morgan showed great teamwork to finish in the top 10 in both the 100 and 200.
