Culture Day Returns

On May 8, we celebrated our 2nd Annual Culture Day with vibrance, creativity, music, dance, and (of course) fantastic food.
  • Fashion show by the Asian Students Association, highlighting Korea and India
  • Living museum, highlighting Trinidadian literature, American R&B, Black Texans & Juneteenth, and Black women & popular culture
  • Dance performances, representing Ethiopia, Scotland, the Jewish diaspora, and the American South
  • The International Market during lunch, made possible by contributions from EBPA and an incredible crew of parent volunteers, offering 50+ dishes and drinks – including vigorón (Nicaragua), tagine (Algeria), baklava (Armenia), spring rolls (China) Jamaican patties, Irish stew, and American Midwest strawberry pie
  • Door Decor by faculty and staff, representing their culture (winner was Tamika G., with the Math Department taking an honorable mention)
