On May 8, we celebrated our 2nd Annual Culture Day with vibrance, creativity, music, dance, and (of course) fantastic food.
Fashion show by the Asian Students Association, highlighting Korea and India
Living museum, highlighting Trinidadian literature, American R&B, Black Texans & Juneteenth, and Black women & popular culture
Dance performances, representing Ethiopia, Scotland, the Jewish diaspora, and the American South
The International Market during lunch, made possible by contributions from EBPA and an incredible crew of parent volunteers, offering 50+ dishes and drinks – including vigorón (Nicaragua), tagine (Algeria), baklava (Armenia), spring rolls (China) Jamaican patties, Irish stew, and American Midwest strawberry pie
Door Decor by faculty and staff, representing their culture (winner was Tamika G., with the Math Department taking an honorable mention)
