Cara Westholm

Cara Westholm leads facility operations across the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation headquarters locations in Washington, DC and Arlington VA. Prior to joining the FDIC Cara spent ten years at the Department of Commerce serving in a variety of roles. As the Associate Director for the Client Services Division, she oversaw engineering, space design, food services, event management, mail services, parking, printing and graphics, in support of over 3,000 tenants at the 1.8M square foot Herbert C. Hoover Building. During her tenure at the Department of Commerce, Cara served as a Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Commerce, advising a cabinet member on issues impacting operations across the 46,000-person agency.
Cara is a Registered Architect in Washington, DC and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). She is a LEED Accredited Professional by the U.S. Green Building Council. Cara and husband John hail from Annapolis, MD where they enjoy eating crabs and visiting family with their son, Henry ’29.
