At the Potomac Valley Athletic Conference Championships on May 15-16, the Bengals recorded numerous podium finishes, including two individual and two relay championships. Overall, the boys' team finished in 2nd place and the girls' team took 5th. Congratulations!
Eoin S. '24 had superlative day, finishing 1st in the 800 and 1600m double by multi-second margins. In his final Burke meet, Adam O. '23 ran a PR to take 9th and 5th in the same races, and Charles L. '25 secured 5th in the 3200. In the sprints, Edomias G. '23 closed out his senior year with 2nd in the 400 meters, and Arlo H. '25 notched a 5th place finish in the 200.

Dominant in the relays, David G. '25, Edomias, Eoin, and Arlo won the 4x400 and Adam, Nebeyo Z. '23, Jack J. '26, and Eoin won the 4x800. Amanuel A. '24 took 2nd in the 110m hurdles, impressively followed by 3rd in the 300m hurdles. In the field events, Edomias added a 2nd place in the long jump. 

In her final Burke meet, Reese G. '23 led the Bengals with 3rd in the 400m and top 8 finishes in both the 100m and 300m hurdles. Ashley J. '26 took 7th with a PR in the 100m. In the middle distances, Nora B. '26 secured 9th in the 1600m, followed by 6th in the 3200. Madison A. '25, Ashley, Carrie J. '24, and Lana P. '26 finished a strong 3rd (only 0.03 from 2nd) in the 4x100m relay. Carrie also took 3rd in the long jump with Hana Y. '25 taking 5th in the triple jump.
