New Appointments in 2021-22

We extend our congratulations to the following individuals who will be assuming new roles at Edmund Burke School in Fall 2021.
Alexis M., who will be our next High School Dean of Students. Entering her 8th year at Burke, Alexis served as 10th Grade Dean while teaching 8th grade, 10th grade, and AP English, advising 10th grade students, and supporting numerous clubs and affinity groups. We are excited for the energy, warmth, and creativity that Alexis will bring to the High School.
 
Susan H. P'14 & P'16, who will be our next Head of Middle School. After more than 25 years in the English Department at Burke, Susan stepped into the role of Dean of the Middle School amid the myriad challenges of the 2020-21 year. We are so grateful for Susan's determination, care, and skill – and look forward to her continued leadership.

Mónica V., who will step into the role of 10th Grade Dean. Entering her fourth year at Burke, Mónica has been a 10th grade adviser, taught Middle and High School Spanish, and advised myriad independent studies. She earned her Ph.D. in Spanish Literature and Culture from Georgetown University. 

Jadéa A. who will be moving from Communications Associate/Graphic Designer to the Assistant Director of Communications role.

We are delighted to welcome back Julia H. '15, who will be our Learning Support Tutor. She will be joining fellow alum Matison H. D. '14, who teaches American Voices and Modern World Literature.
