Hired by Burke's founders, Jean Mooskin and Dick Roth, to teach in the English Department in the 1987-88 school year, Nigel has since developed and led the Senior Seminar Program, guided our Professional Development Committee, and of course served as Academic Dean. Today, Nigel is one of the longest serving members of our school community – know for his intellectual rigor, quick wit, and deep care for each teacher and student at Burke.

Proud parent of twin alumni Julia '06 and Abigail '06, Lucy has been a wise, caring, and sensitive presence at Burke for years. In that time, countless parents have benefited from her fall "Lucy workshops," students from her support and welcoming office in Calvin, and teachers and staff from her mentorship and counsel.
