This past February, the Constitutional Law class traveled downtown to the Innovation Center at the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Students engaged in a mock trial based on a late 19th century case involving a contested patent, pitting Granville T. Woods against Lucius J. Phelps, for a system that could send a telegraph message to a moving train. Students then met Judge Raymond Chen who discussed his educational and professional journey and the work of the United States Court of Appeals.
