Bioethics and Beyond

High school students in Morgan's Bioethics class have welcomed incredible guest speakers this trimester, including:
  • Dr. Eric Rosenthal P'24 discussed pediatric medical ethics, asking students to employ the four principles of bioethics to support their decisions (autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, justice) in several complex case studies.
  • Exploring consciousness and the ethics of AI, Dr. Jonathan Moreno P'04 discussed cases from science fiction that are no longer implausible with today's technology.
  • Bobby Williams '94 discussed data science in the context of forensics, showing how he used different data sets to clarify timelines for court cases and how he presented that information to a jury.
