Graduation 2023
On Sunday, June 4, members of the Class of 2023 crossed the stage at the University of the District of Columbia and formally joined the ranks of Burke alumni.
This year's ceremony featured dance performances by Sanja O. '23 and Jewel F. '23, and musical performances by Ellen C. '23, Thomas R. J. '23, and the seniors of Band D: Ana R. C. '23, Ciara O. '23, Dakari T. '23, George M. '23, Julia V. B. '23, Max H. '23, Reed R. J. '23, and Thomas. This year's student speakers were Catherine R. '23, Margaret H. '23, Samantha S. '23, and Thomas.
We were honored to welcome Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton as the 2023 keynote speaker. Norton has served as the delegate to the US House of Representatives for the District for more than 30 years.
