In The Aisles of IKEA

For the first time since 2019, the 7th graders took to the aisles of IKEA (with a stop at the restaurant for meatballs) for their Tiny House projects.
An interdisciplinary endeavor, this project draws on math, science, and writing skills as students work in teams to design, furnish, and build a digital prototype of a sustainable and off-the-grid tiny (240-square foot) dwelling. The much-anticipated field trip to IKEA provides inspiration for furnishings and configurations with limited space.
